So Mint runs fine, then no problem previous experience with another distribution is history..

all reasons for some concern when running a modern OS, with a full suite of services and applications..
- low processor speed
- cpu type being Celeron
- amount of memory (RAM)
- the video card type
- Mplayer is a media player
- Xine is a media player
- Mplayer sometimes uses a xine backend component for some functions
