I thought smplayer was a wrapper for mplayer.
Why is hd playback good in Mplayer and poor in SMplayer(video lags and stutters), I'm using the same settings as far as I can see. What gives?

I have searched those forums and have found nothing that applies to my situation. My intention was not to have to be a member of 50 forums for every piece of software running on Mint. It kind of defeats the purpose.
