MMC card issue

Hi i ve compaq v3000z laptop with ricoh card reader built in.Cassendra is unable to read mmc card but it is reading SD card without any error.I m not getting whats the prob with my system.If anyone knows something pls tell me.

Unfortunately there seems to be a problem with Ricoh card readers and MMC
But as someone wrote in a post in the Ubuntu forums
The good news is for about $12 you can buy a pc-card or usb 6in1 media reader that is supported by linux.

i have the same card reader and the same problem.

i have an hp computer and my girlfriend has a compaq.

i have the ricoh and she has the texas instruments.

her reader recognizes that an xd card is inserted, but will not mount it.

my reader doesnt recognize the card is there at all.

is there a way i can use a windows driver for it? i saw a windows diver manager somewhere in mint.

hi bro i still didnt get answer...but as i searched on net i got only one thing that only richoh card readers having this issue so probably in future version of mint we ll get it working or if ya get something pls do inform me also...presently i m using usb card reader n its working...
