Problems with fullscreen youtube

So guys i'm having this very annoying problem when trying to watch youtube videos in fullscreen, i click the fullscreen button and it sort of goes to fullscreen only that the video size remains the same and the controls stretch horizontally and the rest of the screen is just black, happens with every video, even 1080p ones. I'm using mint8 and firefox 3.5.8 (happened with 3.5.5 too) and i'm not really sure if this makes any difference dual monitors. I would take an screenshot to better illustrate what i'm talking about but it exits fullscreen mode as soon as hit the print screen button...

Have you tried installing the Adobe flashplugin instead?

Code: Select all

apt update && apt remove flashplugin-nonfree && apt install adobe-flashplugin
