burn dvd structure

Hello. I used lxdvdrip to rip a dvd to the hard drive. Since dvdauthor is a dependency, a dvd structure was created. I then used brasero to burn the files (data dvd). The disc played well on our dvd player, but not on my wife's ibook. So I was thinking of converting the dvd structure created by dvdauthor to a dvd iso and then burning the iso with brasero. After reading some man pages and a little googling, I still am not sure what the commands are - I just am not sure how to do it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
