My mobile phone (Motorola Ming) uses a weird binary-only audio codec when creating movies.
What is the best way to get it into the next Linux Mint release? I can make a deb out of it easily enough, but what after that?
Thanks,
Mark

What format is the codec using?

The audio codec is called "amr_nb".
I found a web site that had a binary-only library for it. mplayer has a compile time option to include support.

Here is a thread with more details:
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=375286The best thing about Mint is the out-of-the-box support for many codecs. I would love to help to make this format work too.
Thanks,
