Trying to connect Compaq Evo N1020v Laptop to Vizio E320VL T

Postby ronnielsen1 on Sun Jul 31, 2011 6:09 am

Like the title says I'm trying to connect Compaq Evo N1020v Laptop to a Vizio E320VL TV with a VGA to VGA cable (or as the TV puts it RGB) It works until it gets past boot up stage and then the TV displays NOT SUPPORT

It sounds like a resolution problem but this goes above my pay grade. I'm not sure what steps I need to take here.

I'm running the lm gnome with an ATI Radeon IGP 340M video card
running at 1024 by 768 resolution

The specs for the TV are:

Probably you can get to the resolution settings on your laptop screen, and there try some resolutions and refresh rates.
