which chat program works under Lunux ?

Hi
Does anybody know what kind of chat program works unter Linux Mint 4.0 without issues? I have installt aMsn but there are a few problems like video doesnt work and quality is bad. I need a chat program which works good by using video. The same problem exist also for skype.
I would be happy if somebody give me a feedback. Thank you!

Have you tried Pidgin? I am not if it supports video chat, but you could look through the plugins..

Sorry, no support for video chat, so I am not sure then...

ekiga supports video well but there's little users for it, skype is not bad either, I use it daily and I'm satisfied.
