AVI is a container, not a format, as far as I know. So the *.avi extension doesn't mean anything if you got the wrong file format inside the file. My digital Sony video camera stores stuff in DV format. So when I connect it to my PC via a Firewire cable I can download the recorded material off my camera directly into Kino.zolly wrote: it supports DV but I don't have these kind of files.
