Windows based "Media Coder" on Linux

Post by JohnH »

Hi folks,

I've been able to install and run Media Coder using Wine. A useful How To is here:

http://forum.mediacoderhq.com/viewtopic.php?t=2275

I don;t frankly understand its full power, as I simply want to compress and convert some of my videos. Some of you gurus will find it very handy though.

Regards
John

PS I posted the url in the Mint How To section of the forum.

For Dayna to get Wine you need to do this instead:

Code: Select all

wget -q http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/387EE263.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -

Code: Select all

sudo wget http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt/sources.list.d/gutsy.list -O /etc/apt/sources.list.d/winehq.list
