Installing flash 11 removes mint-meta-codecs

Postby c-m on Sat Feb 11, 2012 2:21 pm

The old flash 10 on Mint 11 is terribly slow on my netbook. Though seemed to work fine on my Aspire one under ubuntu.

Anyway i want to upgrade to flash 11. Its in the repos, but synapic wants to remove mint-meta-codecs if i install flash11, leaving me without the required codecs no doubt for many things.

What is that about?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

A meta package is like a shopping list, once you have bought all the shopping you can throw the list away because you don't need it any more.

So just go ahead and install what you want to install, it will make no difference to anything.
