linux mint 12 LXDE audio codecs?

just got Linux mint 12 LXDE, which is great, but, i can't seem to find anywhere to get the codecs to play CD's. or change my very basic MP3 settings

can someone link me to a site with the terminal commands?

i don't program, or use the terminal. so in easy speak please

Hi. I am not sure if this works for LXDE, but it is safe to try.
Open a terminal window (Menu > Terminal) and type the following command followed by ENTER:
mintwelcome
Now, do you see a pop-up window with the option "Upgrade to the DVD edition" or "Install Multimedia Codecs"?
