dell studio keyboard backlight timeout

Does anyone know how to set the timeout for the keyboard backlight on Dell Studio 17 series laptops? The backlight is on when I'm typing, but shuts off after a short period of inactivity. I'd like to increase the inactivity timeout to keep the backlight on for a much longer period.
