Power Supply Ques.
I have an ATX psu with a 20 pin plug for mobo, will it work on a 24 pin mobo (MSI K9N6SGM-V)???

Re: Power Supply Ques.
This is a little besides Linux but I'll try to answer it
It "will work" sort of, but I do not recommend it. The extra four pins are to supply more power to the mobo and it may get underpowered not to talk of that the 20 pin PSU may not have the umpf needed
At worst you end up destroying your hardware
Go buy a decent 500 + watts PSU - and look at the amps on 12 volts - that's the critical part
Cost is probably around 100 $ US

Re: Power Supply Ques.
Thanks Husse. Well both the PSU and mobo are leftover items that would be no great loss. I had done a bit of research on PSU's and could not find any thing definite on that connection. How ever I will can the idea of using these components on a system that would be suspect from the git go. Thanks again.
