Hello !

I need help installing my video drivers

I have two AMD ATI Radeon 7770 HD First time i use the default additional drivers then i reebot and give me a black screen

then I use this guide https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BinaryDriverHowto/ATI and happen the same thing

and heard that the 7000 series not supported yet ( but that was on Feb 2012 ) and i found this :

what can i do ? dont want to back to my windows 7 just because its easy

Welcome pl0xy to Linux Mint Forums,

Unfortunately I think your card is not yet supported with linux drivers. It's not Mint's fault as AMD has not released the driver for open source yet.

That being said someone may have gotten it to work and have a work around until the official drivers are released.

There is the Catalyst driver page that may be of help but remember these are experimental.

Hi. I have the same problem. Catalyst doesn't seem to work for me either. Nor do any flash programs, but I have flash installed. Just bumping this thread to see if anyone has any recent info on this.
