psb-gfx driver in maya

Postby teks on Wed May 23, 2012 12:40 pm

EDIT- Mint Maya runs psb-gfx out the box almost flawlessly. I wasn't sure if it was actually running, since my monitor is unknown with a zero refresh rate, but once I played with some compositing it was clear that this wasn't no vesa driver.

The one problem I have is that my monitor is unknown, and has a refresh rate of 0 (?). I can't find any information on this, so if anyone has any ideas I would appreciate it.
There is also a known bug which causes the brightness keys to fail. The keys work, but the brightness doesn't change. I found some russian script that should fix it, but I haven't got it working right.

Otherwise this new OS is just plain awesome. Even with the gma500 video driver I can suspend, and resume in under five seconds. No random freezes yet, and it worked right out of the box compositing and all.
