Greetings,
Installation of Mint on a Dell D630 laptop results in no wireless. Applications --> Additional Drivers shows available drivers for the Broadcom wireless NIC; but activating those drivers results in the wlan0 device not even loading upon reboot. Inactivation of the drivers allows wlan0 to load, but then it doesn't see anything, even though syslog says it's listening via DHCPDISCOVER.
Installation of Wicd Network Manager shows that there are no SSIDs found. Here at work, I have lots of broadcast and non-broadcast SSIDs, I run the wireless networks, so I know they're there.
Anyone have any ideas?
