can't set config #1, error -110 motrolla razr maxx

I'm seeing the following error when setting connecting my razr maxx and setting it to usb mass storage.
It worked once but the next time it won't mount the drives.
I'm seeing

[ 346.140017] usb 1-6: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 5
[ 351.290079] usb 1-6: can't set config #1, error -110
[ 463.260707] usb 1-6: USB disconnect, address 5
[ 463.620016] usb 1-6: new high speed USB device using ehci_hcd and address 6
[ 468.770056] usb 1-6: can't set config #1, error -110

I have tried a different usb slot, as well as rebooting, disconnecting reconnecting etc.

Any ideas on this one?

I'm running Mint 10. Plan on upgrading to 13 but wanted to move some stuff to my phone.

Its working fine on Mint13.
