CD/DVD Drive writes only once

Postby Steven of Nine on Thu Mar 13, 2008 5:17 pm

I installed Mint on my Compaq laptop, and downloaded a couple files, and burned a CD using the native burner.

I have not been able to write another, since, I get "failed to write" errors. The CD/DVD burner is fine, under the Windows Dual Boot it works perfectly. And I can read from it. And play back from it.

Help, anyone!

Install Brasero it's a much better burner application or k3b if you're in KDE
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

I have used the default, gnomebaker, braseroi and K3b, and all fail to write. Brasero was able to erase a DVD-RW, but none could write.
