Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Hi stuz,

The Intuos4's work fine in recent releases of all those Distros you mention. Why are you under the impression they don't?

There are a couple of gui's to configure the ExpressKeys that may or not work depending on how recent the release is etc. But you can always configure them through an xsetwacom script.

The only problem are the OLED's. They are supported in a recent enough kernel but the Wacom X driver (xf86-input-wacom) does not support them. That is by decision of the Linux Wacom developers. There is an app. you can use to configure them but it takes some work to set up.

French ubuntu forum on many problems are raised.

Intuos4 dont work on 11.10 and dont fine ont 12.04 : Can not set the ExpressKeys for their award only "shift" or "alt" or "ctrl" withe xsetwacom.

Shift and ctrl is essential for blender, it is the most used keys.

Does it work in mint?

I wasn't aware of that. Shift and alt and ctrl should be working. I just checked the xsetwacom.c code and they are in there. So if there is a problem I suspect a configuration problem or a bug in xf86-input-wacom that has probably been fixed. If so they just need to upgrade their xf86-input-wacom version. Instructions are at: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1038949 or http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1515562 For configuration see: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/l ... figuration

I do not know since I do not have an Intuos4. But I know of no reason why it wouldn't.
