Microtek Scanmaker X6EL w/Adaptec AVA-2902 SCSI

Hello All,

I'm having some problems getting this hardware to work with Mint. From what I have been able to find so far is that the scsi card is not installed/loaded. Can someone give or point me to a how-to on how to get this scsi adapter working?

TIA
The instructions suggested Microsoft Vista or better, so I installed Linux.

I believe the SCSI card is loaded. When I issue the command /sbin/lsmod, I see the following in the listing : scsi_transport_spi 25472 1 aic7xxx. But when I start Xsane there is no scanner detected.
The instructions suggested Microsoft Vista or better, so I installed Linux.

Can anyone help me find a solution to getting my scanner working?
