Re: Novatel U727
For others coming to this thread you should know that airprime was depreciated and removed from the kernel tree and replaced by the kernel module "option". The U727 device will work but after connecting it to USB the storage device it creates needs to be ejected. This will put the device in a mode able to be used.
I have created a udev rule in /lib/udev/rules.d/99-novatel.rules to perform the eject when the device is attached.
Note if you already have a device using sr0 you will need to increment the device number or use a different udev match key. ID_SERIAL also needs to be changed to match your specific device. You can find this information by viewing /var/log/syslog after connecting your device.
I have created a udev rule in /lib/udev/rules.d/99-novatel.rules to perform the eject when the device is attached.
Code: Select all
# rule to auto eject sr0 device when u727 is plugged in and put it in a mode to dial out.
KERNEL=="sr0", ENV{ID_SERIAL}=="Novatel_Mass_Storage_091081306620000-0:0", RUN+="/usr/bin/eject /dev/%k"
