Basically I think it should just appear as a USB disk of some sort ... probably FAT format ...

Hi,

If they are windows drivers then they will be of no use to you under Linux.
There is some software for Linux called BitPim that should open up all the functionality of the LG Voyager, the wiki is here :

http://www.lgvoyager.com/wiki/LG_Voyager_Hacks

and BitPim can be downloaded from here :

http://www.bitpim.org/

It would appear that the filesystem needs to be accessed via the BitPim application, not via normal filesystem methods.

I hope this helps !

Hello again !
agengo02 wrote:ya so bitpim still doesnt find my phone.
It doesn't see it at all ?
i did some searching in the program and found that the port that my phone is on is active, but not available for use? it shows my phones details and what not, so at least SOMETHING sees the thing. any suggestions?? thanks so far guys.
Ok, so you can see your phone even though above you say you can't ?

Have you read the manual for the phone ? Is it like my TomTom One GPS in that just hooking it to the USB port doesn't actually make it
available for use on the computer, I have to select a menu on the GPS telling it to make itself available to the computer via the USB port
even though it is physically connected to the USB port.

Have you checked through the BitPim Forum, the answer may already be on there ?
