No webcam driver is needed.
The linux kernal automatically supports webcams.
Click the Linux mint Start menu, by doing the following:-
Menu -> Administration -> Software Manager
With Software Manager launched, type Cheese in the Search Box. Double click it in the search results and install it.
Once installed, click the Linux ment Start menu, by doing the following:-
Menu -> Sound & Video -> Cheese
Voila, web cam works. Like I said, support for webcams is already part of the Linux Kernal, but for the webcam to work it needs software to talk to the driver to display the image / video (of which Cheese accompishes this).
