Brother Printer Issues

Hello everyone! Linuxsudoer here having some complications looking for solutions. What I have is a laptop running Mint 13 Cinnamon. (mmm tasty). Mint detects and see the printer all the information looks correct. However! I still cannot get it to print, I am done having commitment issues and no longer want to dual-boot to get a dang-o-printer to work. Anywho where can I find a driver for this here

Thanks for the reply I will see what they got for me there. I am install linux in the laptop now. Why can't everyone be like HP, I get HP printers to work with so much ease in linux. Cannon also having support for linux on their US site. I know there for a while I had to navigate to the DE website to find any.

could you read the front of your Brother printer and check its ID?

Are you sure you do not have the MFC-J630W ........I say this as google records no record of such a device that you quote: MFC-J6390W .............but does for the MFC-J630W .......................

....... as I understand it, this script should detect which printer you have and install the appropriate drivers ...................

........why not try that? I have seen several posts from pleased punters who did this ................
