Fan Control on 2007 iMac

Hi all. Recently switched over to Mint and am having a blast working around as it has been nearly flawless. So that's great. Anyway, (doting aside) I was wondering if anyone knew of a way that I could control the internal fans in my iMac. It has a small problem with overheating. I would love to be able to keep it cool under the heavy load of my constant tinkering. Haha. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. (I hope this is the right place for this. My apologies if it isn't.)
