LM14 KDE Wireless Not Detected

Postby Truckman on Sat Dec 29, 2012 5:58 pm

New install of LM 14 KDE on a Lenovo s9e and the wireless card isn't being detected. In BIOS wireless is enabled. In LM14 KDE network connections the wireless tab is grayed out and I am unable to add a wireless connection. Flipping through the Lenovo s9e manual, there are instructions on how to turn on wireless (press wireless device button, then press FN F5) but that isn't working, and I believe that may be for the original windows xp installed, anyway.

Any advice?

ETA: It seems that there is no wireless driver installed. Maybe this was because the wireless wasn't turned on during the OS installation so it wasn't auto detected?
