Linuxmint14 nvidia driver and battery not working

I have linuxmint14 64bit installed. I have a gtx660m graphics card. I installed the nvidia-current driver and the display is working correctly. The problem I am having is that the battery is recognized as not being charged. However, it is charged. I believe this is the problem that bumblebee is suppose to fix.

I installed bumblebee but the screen goes from 1920x1080 to 800x600. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Or if bumblebee is the answer, how do I install them so they work.
