External CD/DVD drive on Maya?

Postby dynamicbrick on Fri Jan 04, 2013 5:28 am

Hi there.

Long time user of Mint - currently running on a Samsung NC-10 with 2gb RAM and an SSD. All functions perfectly.

However, just wanted to check something - I'm looking to get an external CD or DVD drive for this thing. Never used an external with any of the Linux systems I've got or used over the years.

Anything I need to know before I take spend my money?

Thanks

Dunc

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Smashing, ta.

Plumped for a cheapo one on eBay as it specifically said Samsung netbooks, and specifically said Linux compatible.

Gambled a tenner on it being neither of the above :D
