[SOLVED] WCH Multi-I/O Board Driver Installation help

I have just installed Linux Mint 14 (32 bit) Cinnamon edition and I'm having problems in getting an aftermarket 4 Port Serial Card to work.
The vendor is WCH GROUP and they do provide Linux drivers on their Driver disk for Kernel 2.4 & 2.6.
Their WCH Multi-I/O Board Driver Installation Guide however isn't very clear (to me) on how to install the Linux Drivers.

I'd be grateful in hearing from anyone who has sucessfully installed the WCH Multi-I/O Board Drivers on a Linux Mint 14 PC who can help me understand how to do this.
