Sony MS ProDuo vs. SD card

I have a MicroSD HC that I use in an Ms ProDuo adapter. Reason being that I like to keep my SD card empty for my camera memory card.
The Ms ProDuo works well in windows 7, but no luck in Linux Mint Nadia 14. I've searched the forum and only relevant post was from 2010.
Has anyone figured this out?

When I put the MicroSD HC in an SD card adapter and put in the computer, it works immediately.
