Hey guys,
I'm kinda new when it comes to Linux, especially Linux Mint. I have a minor problem with my sound output, which acts weird.
I have a 5.1 system and a Audigy 2SZ sound card. The problem is, that even though my profile setting for my sound card is set to "Analog Surround 5.1 Output", programs like VLC seem to lose this profile after EVERY track.
What that means is, that for every new track VLC plays, I have to open the sound configuration and either disable the sound card and enable it again, or change the profile settings to another option and back.
This way, I get 5.1 sound back otherwise I stick to stereo sound. The same happens if I listen to Pandora etc. But here, I don't lose the profile after every track. So, when I'm listening to Pandora, I have to disable the sound card once and afterwards the 5.1 sound stays til I get in standby, reboot or smiliar.
Especially in VLC, it's very annoying to have this problem after every single song.
Does anybody how to fix this issue?
Thanks in advance!
Cheers!
