Bluetooth to a Pactor Modem using Airmail

I am trying to run the Airmail program under Wine to control a Pactor modem through bluetooth. The built-in bluetooth gui will not accept a hex pin, which is what the Pactor modem has.

I have tried to manually connect to the Pactor. I am able to pair the Pactor Bluetooth to my laptop using bluez-simple-agent, however I cannot get it to connect. I have tried rfcomm, altho I may not have had the right parameters on rfcomm. I also created the link in the wine directory from the rfcomm dev device to the wine com port. Despite hours of searching the internet and trying I have not found a command, even after rebooting, that will actually connect the Pactor.

Thus, I either need a way to feed a hex key into the bluetooth gui or the command(s) or file configurations necessary to connect the laptop's bluetooth to the Pactor's bluetooth.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
