AMD Radeon HD 2xxx-4xxx series card

The ATI drivers for these cards are now available in a separate branch called legacy series. Unfortunately these legacy drivers (version 12.6) have not been updated to work with Xorg 1.13.

If you own one of these cards you can either:

Use the default Open Source drivers which come with Linux Mint
Downgrade Xorg and install the Legacy ATI drivers as explained at http://www.ubuntuvibes.com/2012/10/how- ... egacy.html

thanks for the replies, but when i got home today and turned the computer on it would not display anything. I ended up just formatting and starting over.
