Logitech webcam C210

I have tried installing a Logitech C210 webcam. The problem that I am confronted with is ,any one that I call ,are not able to
see my face on their camera ,I am able to hear them ,and see them.
Is this problem ,a software or hardware glitch ;or a problem with the recipients hardware.
I have struck this problem on my wife's desktop running Mint 13 Cinnamon ,a borrowed WinXP desktop ,and out Bauhn Android tablet with Icecream sandwich 4.0
