Scanner (Samsung 4720) not found

Hello everyone,
im using Linux Mint(14).

I have a multifunction pinter/scanner. To install the printer I followed that guide here : http://www.gaggl.com/2012/04/install...-ubuntu-11-10/.

After I finished I can now see a scanner in my "unified Driver configurator". But all scanning programs wont work. The always fail with i/o errors "error during device".

The command "/opt/Samsung/mfp/bin/netdiscovery --all --scanner" return with no results.

I followed troubleshooting here http://www.bchemnet.com/suldr/scanning.html but I couldnt find anything in that direction.

After trying for hours to find a solution I ended up here . Maybe you can give me further ideas, hints solutions.
