Mint 14 is installed and everything works exept the RAID drive. I have two 256GB SSDs on a HighPoint RocketRaid 640L PCI controller as RAID 1. My goal is to get the RAID array formated as NTFS for sharing with Microsoft Windows.
Solution: go to http://www.highpoint-tech.com/USA_new/s ... wnload.htm and find the appropriate column for your controller. Download the ubuntu driver matching the rev. of Mint and installation manual for it. The first pages of the installation manual are of little value, but page four gives instructions for installing the driver in ubuntu/Mint. After installing the driver, reboot and the controller will show as sdb, sdc, or whatever depending on how many drives are on the native bios. For a RAID array, the controller will appear as a drive or two (depending upon how many RAID arrays are on the controller).
