Cannot Refresh SMART data for hdd

Yep, When i go to Disk utility (or disk manager) (IN LINUX MINT 13) I will go to SMART Data, And click refresh, and, the window just crashes. (this is on my laptop, Dell latitude D630, Cheeck is Sig) so, Any ideas?
Main: Hp Compaq 8100 elite SFF, Intel i5 660 3.33ghz, Nvidia Geforce 620GT(2gb MSI), 8gb RAM, 500gb Harddrive, Windows 7 pro x64
