Mode monitor - chipset intel 4965

confused!
The drivers included in Linux Mint 5 Elyssa are compatible to put a wireless target with an Intel 4965 chipset into mode monitor by default.
I don't know if this is because in Ubuntu/Debian are included or if there are included by Linux Mint Team, but... It's amazing
