Left handed touchpad users?

Are there any other left handed laptop users having this problem? When I set the mouse to left handed, tapping the touchpad performs a right click (instead of a left click like it should). However, if I then open the Mouse and Touchpad properties dialog, and untick and tick the Enable mouse clicks with touchpad box, it then functions normally.

I see another guy is also suffering from this issue over in the LXDE forum:
