Can't Get Internet to Work at All

I just installed Linux Mint 14 KDE 64 bit on my new laptop. I cannot get the internet to work at all though. Wireless has been really odd, my router popped up on the list, it asked me for my password, then every 30 seconds or so for about 5 minutes it would ask me again for the password. After 5 minutes the router disappeared and I have no available connections now. I tried wiring out to get internet that way and that isn't working either. http://m.newegg.com/Product/index?itemN ... 6834310628 is the exact laptop I have. I know the card works OK because I tested it on Windows 8 before installing Mint. Besides not being able to get on the internet, I absolutely love the setup of Mint!

As an update to this in the 30 second pauses between password attempts it said it was Configuring interface. I work for a friend so I also tried seeing if I could get it to work at his house. Same things happened, nothing when I tried a wired connection, and weirdness with wireless.
