Can't get Wifi using Broadcom BCM4311 card

I have a Dell Latitude D531 laptop with a Broadcom BCM4311 wireless card running Linux Mint 14 (Nadia). I can get internet just fine with an ethernet cable, but that's about it. I push the wireless button and nothing happens. I went to Software Sources, selected Additional Drivers, and selected "Using Broadcom 802.11 Linux STA wireless driver source from bcmwl-kernel-source (proprietary)" and still nothing.

Mint seems to be able to detect the BCM4311, but won't work with it. Any help?

Your wireless card works fine with b43 open source driver.

Try in a terminal:

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer
Reboot.
