No sound with Audio device: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7

Hi!

I'm running LMDE on this motherboard:

vendor: Intel Corporation

Unfortunately the onboard sound is not working with LMDE but with all other parallel installations: Windows XP, Ubuntu 11.04

Based on that my conclusing regarding the root cause is:
Wrong driver and/or configuration in LMDE.

When the system starts, I can see some error messages regarding "sound" on the screen, however I cannot find anything related in /var/log.

Can you help me finding all messages printed on the screen during startup somewhere in a logfile?
