Asus UX31E Brightness Function Keys

Hello All. Still fairly new to the forum. I have an ASUS UX31E Ultrabook w/ MINT 14 (MATE). My function keys F5 and F6 worked just fine to decrease/increase brightness under MINT. That is, until I had the wise idea of upgrading the BIOS from 206 to the most current 214. Now, the brightness keys no longer work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
