WIFI connects but no internet

I have a Lenovo X121e that connects to WIFI but cannot open web pages. The browser has the message "sending request". This problem exists when I am at home only. When I take the laptop to another location it connects and internet is OK.

The laptop really is connected to WIFI with 100% signal strength. This problem started a few days ago. Before that it worked fine.

I am using Mint 13 which is has been kept updated.

When I bring another laptop home (also with Mint 13) it woks on internet right away.

I'm sure this is something simple. Can anyone help?

I still haven't got this fixed. Can anyone help.
Is this an issue with Mint 13?
Would the WIFI card work better with Mint 14?
