Hello All,
I have a Toshiba NB255-N250 10.1" netbook running Linux Mint 14 w/ MATE. I'm having an intermittent problem with wifi where everything is fine for hours and hours, and then all of a sudden the Wifi connection will disconnect, after which no amount of disabling/reenabling Networking or Wifi in the GUI taskbar will make it reconnect. Nothing short of a reboot seems to fix it (and a reboot always fixes it). After a few hours, however, the problem reappears. I'm pretty sure this is OS/driver related and not a hardware problem because this has never happened in Windows, no matter how many hours I leave it on. Any suggestions on what to try here?
Thanks in advance!

You should perhaps post for us:
Make a note yourself of the driver in use
And then try this when it fails
Also install rfkill
And run it too when it fails, with:
Code: Select all
lspci -nnk | grep -iA2 net
And then try this when it fails
Also install rfkill
And run it too when it fails, with:
Code: Select all
sudo rfkill list
