I can't get this to work.
This is a new computer that I put together last week, barebones I had to install a harddrive some ram and a optical drive.. ECS A750GM-M motherboard, AMD quad processors, on board video and sound. Video is fine movies and such play just great except the sound. Linux detects the sound card, sound is enabled in the BIOS
Everything is working fine I installed ubunto 12 something last week. Can't get the sound to work. Didn't like the Unity desktop so I installed this distro, I like this better. Anyplace I can find Linux drivers for this? Already tried ATI website they don't support the card anymore. Googgled everything, but nothing real useful.

If there isn't a real easy fix for this what sound card right out of the box will work? I mean easy peasy work without recompiling the kernal.

Post the output of this terminal command:

Code: Select all

inxi -A
Please put code markers around the output otherwise it's difficult to read. Click the 'Code' button just above your typing area when replying then past the code in between the markers.
