Resolved- No sound after suspend with mint 14

BRAND new to linux mint

Installed linux mint 14 on my gateway mx6440 laptop.
Since then I have installed 8 other distros.
Want to go back to Mint -its faster and uses less resources. Although i really like zorin also.



Its an AMD64, ati radeon 200 express, SB400 device, 2GB

Have scoured the net and cant find what is causing the sound to stop.

presuspend - click on test speakers and works great
postsuspend - click on test speaker -no sound

Help! Really want too come back to mint 14.

upgrade kernel to 3.7 everything working so far including sound after suspend

So, this is what I did to fix it, I ran alsamixer from terminal and saw that Auto-Mute Mode was Enabled

I Disabled it and my sound came back right away
