Beats speakers on Hp Dv6

Postby Cherokee92 on Thu Mar 14, 2013 10:28 pm

I'm somewhat new to Linux, I've been screwing around with it on and off the past 2 years. Anyways i have Mint 14 on my year old HP Dv6-6108us with the AMD chipset
The Beats Tweeters on the front are not working, I know it's as simple as adding a line to a config file or something like that to fix it. I just can't remember what i add and to what file. I already tried searching these forums, and found something for a different model laptop but it didn't work. Any ideas?

Also while I'm at it, the screen keeps dimming itself and blanking after about 10 minutes even though it's set not to. Any ideas on that?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.
