Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN problem

Installed Elyssa onto my friends computer. It is using the Broadcom 802.11b/g WLAN network adapter. Install goes smooth only problem is there is no way to get internet working on it. the wireless doesn't work and neither does a wired connection. How can i go about getting this to work when there is no way to connect it to internet? thnks

Which Broadcom card is it? Post the output of lspci
Other than that I can say that Broadcom cards usually requires b43 or ndiswrapper. Try using the restricted drivers manager first, if that does not work, remove it and use ndiswrapper instead.

Hey there for the b43 chipset i normally keep a copy of my /lib/firmware which has all the broadcom items for both my hp laptops, unfortunately i have had to do similar head banging in the past getting it working now all I do on a fresh install is copy in my firmware, i have attached a copy just on the off chance maybe it works you never know...

just in case you need to know this is my wlan adapter
